When it comes to the workplace:

1 in 3 workers claim their manager can’t lead a team (SHRM’s 2019 Culture Report)

Employees who “feel their voice is heard” are 4.6x more likely to feel empowered and perform their best work. (Forbes)

When it comes to allyship:

People often struggle to know how to support, with the fear of potentially overstepping a boundary. 

Allies often feel like an imposter and often have moments of 'am I going to be found out?' 

Workplaces and society isn't set up (although we like think they are) for true allyship, with no formal training and even poor cultures.

Based on research, when leaders, sponsors and allies at work embody a coaching persona, there was a clear improvement on both theoretical and practical outcomes.

 

Some of the skills proved to be enhanced through having this form coaching approach included: peoples coping abilities, resilience, attitude, well-being, self-regulation, goal attainment, and performance.
