Coaching
"ICF defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The process of coaching often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity and leadership.
We all have goals we want to reach, challenges we’re striving to overcome and times when we feel stuck. Partnering with a coach can change your life, setting you on a path to greater personal and professional fulfilment."

Let me tell you a secret about Coaching:
Coaching isn't all about being woo-woo, going on yoga retreats and taking sabbaticals.
And it isn't indulgent, selfish or any other negative or preconceived thoughts that your inner voice is telling you.

Coaching is a professional and personal development process in which a Coach (me) works with a client (you) to help them achieve specific goals, improve their skills, or enhance their overall well-being.
It is a collaborative and client-centred approach that aims to empower individuals to identify and achieve their potential.
Here are some key aspects of coaching:
-
Goal-Oriented: Coaching typically begins with the client setting specific goals or objectives they want to achieve. These goals can be related to various aspects of life, such as career, personal development, or well-being.
-
Client-Centred: The coaching process is centred around the client's needs, desires, and circumstances. As a Coach, my role is to not provide solutions or advice; instead, I guide and support clients in finding their own solutions and strategies.
-
Active Listening: The use active listening skills to understand clients more deeply. I ask open-ended questions, reflect on the client's responses, and create a safe and non-judgmental space for the client to explore their thoughts and feelings.
-
Accountability: I help clients stay accountable for their goals and commitments. I may co-create and establish action plans, set milestones, and monitor progress to ensure the client is making strides toward their objectives.
-
Feedback and Reflection: I provide feedback, insights, and different perspectives to help clients gain clarity, make informed decisions, and overcome challenges. I empower and encourage self-reflection and self-awareness.
-
Confidentiality: I adhere to strict confidentiality standards, ensuring that what is discussed in coaching sessions remains private and secure.

What my clients say: Georgina Otubela
"Lucy has been my coach for the last few months and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Throughout our sessions she has listened and understood my competencies, highlighted areas of focus and improvement and helped me set a development plan to work towards.
Lucy offers a completely non judgemental approach for areas which could be perceived as making someone feel particularly vulnerable for example when working with through cognitive behavioural therapy techniques to support growth and confidence. She has identified a number of tools and techniques which I practice on an ongoing basis. Having put this into practice I am already seeing improvements in my delivery and also my mindset to approaching challenging situations.
Lucy’s industry experience in service management and technology lend well to her ability to deliver coaching to those in customer facing or technical industries. She has a breadth of experience which enables her to lend advice from a coaching, colleague, and business stakeholder perspective.
Her guidance on personal branding has been invaluable, she has helped me update my linked in profile to reflect my authentic personality and brand. I am excited to continue to grow and develop with Lucy as my coach.

What my clients say: Beth Pattison
"Lucy makes you dig deep and dares to ask those questions you wouldn’t necessarily ask yourself. Over the last six months, Lucy has supported me to explore my own ideas and build on my personal brand. The powHERful workbook has very quickly become my go-to bible. It keeps me accountable but also helps shape my future plans. I feel confident that I have the tools to reflect on my own needs and I have seen a big shift in my confidence to explore my key pillars. I am so glad our paths crossed. My biggest wins are that I can: articulate my strengths, what is important to me, but most importantly why. I can tell my own story. Lucy listens and picks up on things you’d never have considered before. Don’t expect Lucy to tell you the answers, but what you can be absolutely sure of is that she is there every step of the way cheering you on. You get out what you put in. If you are wondering whether to work with Lucy …. stop. Take action and be prepared for a big shift!"
